ActivePort 232 CompactFlash I/O is an Add on card for ports that allows a user to use a common frame (CF) or PCMCIA slot as a serial port by expanding existing serial ports. With this product, a user can communicate various types of data such as industrial, military, medical, and measuring equipment using a standard I/O interface.
ActivePort 232 CompactFlash I/O is designed to use a power supply as low as 3.3V. It minimizes the effect of batteries to the applied equipment such as Pocket PC and palm sized PC and selectively supplies power to external equipment.
With ActivePort 232 CompactFlash I/O, a user can be free of cradle on any business trips. This product functions as an activesync, allowing a user to install it in a Pocket PC to access the Internet using a COM serial port.
ActivePort 232 CompactFlash I/O is composed of a 15 pin connector and a VS 9 pin DB link port. However, it can be produced as a full connector type to be suited to workplaces or construction sites where mobility and durability are crucial. Also, its 9 pin connector can be replaced with the RJ Jack for scanner modules or card readers.
ActivePort 232 CompactFlash I/O permits a user to connect his or her Pocket PC with an industrial measuring device and controller and medical equipment that communicates using a serial port. Hence, a user can build a PDA control system, replacing costly imported equipment.
